Fran's book on Amazon Kindle - evidence that she can write for longer than 5 minutes

Just letting you know that, should you feel inclined, you can now read my first book called 'Being Miss' if you have a Kindle or something else you can download it to - and it seems to indicate that you can download it to your PC, too, if you don't.  It will cost you less than the price of 10 chocolate frogs.  It is about one day in a teacher's life precarious existence.  And it should make you laugh.  At least, that's the idea.

Here's the link below ...

Ooh, I must go and download that now

And if you do download, and you like it, please write me a review on Amazon.  I'd give you a big virtual hug.

    1. It's technically self-published, Stephen, so it's not mega-impressive. But I know so many people with Kindles; it seemed like the way to go. For now.

    1. I don't even have one myself, Charlotte. It's an e-reader. Or was your question ironic?...

    2. Ironic...honest, I do know what one is really, I am just known as the family luddite.

    1. Lesson 1: As soon as you publish it, you will notice 4 mistakes. But it's a fairly straightforward process. I suspect I may have signed up to all kinds of things I'll regret. I need a lawyer.

    1. I wrote the book a while ago, hausfrau. It's only now I've decided to publish online. Where I've been is more to do with school work! Yawn.

  9. Congratulations, Fran, and very good luck with your book. I'm sure ebooks are the way to go now, although 'real' books will always be special.

    1. I agree with you, Frances. I don't have a Kindle. Yet. Am still being persuaded! But lots of people do, so I thought I'd go for this route and see what happened.

    1. It says you can download to your PC (in very tiny writing). I mean, it says it in very tiny writing. Not that it downloads in very tiny writing. Am I getting repetitive? I mean, I hate to get repetitive. It's dreadful, being repetitive.

  12. Oh , shoot ! I'm hopeless with gadgets and have been manfully resisting the siren call of yet another "thing" to get frustrated with .
And then you post this .....

    1. I think you can download to a PC if you want to try it, SmitandSon. I'm just as hopeless with technology so it's all a bit hypocritical, making people download my e-book ....

  13. I've bought it Fran - am I'm looking forward to some of your cracking humour! Well done and who cares if it's self published - when you look at some of the stuff in mainstream publishing you have to wonder what the hell they are doing! I use my Kindle only occasionally - as my first purchase I made the mistake of downloading No Country For Old Men by Cormac McCarthy which probably wasn't the best idea when switching too another format:))

    1. Jane, thanks so much. Really appreciated. I think I can guarantee that, whatever you think of my book in the end, it will be a lighter read than Cormac McCarthy ...!

Well, I've read it and I loved it! Very funny and horribly true to life if you're a teacher. Buy it! It's the best bargain I've bought for a long time.

Not really Anonymous (Blogger! Stop mucking around!) but Isabelle.
